Are Americans Terrible Parents?

The USA ranks 60th in maternal mortality rates worldwide.

Fifty-nine other countries do better at keeping their moms alive through childbirth than we do here in the U.S.

The USA ranks 55th in infant mortality….yes, 54 other countries are doing a better job keeping their babies alive through childbirth.

Mothers are 466% more likely to die in childbirth than their babies, which would be better than losing both if those deaths weren’t shown to be 98% preventable.

Not only are they almost completely preventable, but it also seems the more medicine “advances,” the more moms, as the death rate has tripled since 1996 alone!

Globally speaking, that’s one mother losing her life from complications we know how to prevent every 2 minutes while 59 other countries do better than the mighty US of A.

Cesarean delivery rates in the US are at 32.1% as of 2021, an increase of over 600% from 1970 and 90% from 1996.

States range from 24.1% in Idaho to 38.5% in Mississippi and only include live births in their data.

Induced labors have more than doubled from 1990 to 2010.

Fetal ultrasounds are so standard that you can’t find stats on how many people use them, or don’t, for that matter. It looks like virtually every birth these days have an ultrasound which eliminates any chance of comparison to a control group to determine safety or identify potential issues or problems that ultrasounds may be causing.

Vaccine numbers have risen dramatically similarly, with an estimated 97% of school-age kids today receiving all the shots the government tells them they need to get.

To see their impact, it will take many years to get the data for the C-19 experimental immune therapy that they falsely called a vaccine.

As a nation, our culture and medical system are failing miserably regarding childbirth and children’s health.

  • 40% of school-age children report a chronic health condition.
  • 1 in 50 with Autism.
  • 1 in 5 considered developmentally disabled. And a predicted
  • 1 in 3 adults is estimated to be diabetic by 2050.
  • 1 in 10 are diagnosed with ADHD. 60% of these take stimulant medication, and 64% of these kids diagnosed with ADHD had other mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders, with 2 to 5-year-olds up by 60% alone!

Before any Momma Bears get grizzly, I know these are VERY common procedures, delivery methods, and wellness visit norms.

Nearly every child has experienced a combination of them, and they grew up and are fine and dandy.

This is not a critique of anyone’s parenting, just data and disappointment in the system.

Having had three kids, each born in a different country, no fetal ultrasounds, all born at home without medical intervention.

At 14, 21, and 23, they have lived thus far in 3 countries, four states, public and private schools, and college without vaccines, antibiotics, medications, major surgeries, or a single well visit to a pediatrician.

And they are the second generation after me to do so in my family.

I was either WAY off the mark, or the US is.

I am not saying I’m perfect, my decisions are the best for you or your children, or I even think I have it all figured out, but I will take my stats over theirs ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!

Raise your standards, America!

Heighten your awareness and take your health and your children’s health into your own hands.

It is your fate at the end of the day, after all.

Thanks for listening.

WE CAN DO BETTER!
