You can Always Sleep Better
Getting Quality Sleep every night is a MUST!
Most people do not know how bad they are actually sleeping until they start sleeping better.
You cannot be healthy without getting good sleep.
50-70 Million American adults report sleep issues. 10% report insomnia. 70% of high school teens do not get adequate sleep.
Just ONE night of disturbed sleep can increase insulin resistance, raise cortisol, and lower feel-good brain chemicals like serotonin and dopamine.
Sleep is always priority ONE in any of our health programs. Simply a must.
We burn most of our fat and gain most of our muscle when we sleep.
Sleep is when our brain cells shrink down a bit, allowing increased cerebral spinal fluid to flow through as our brain detoxifies.
Sleep is when our high-octane organs, like the brain, heart, liver, and kidneys, do a lot of work, burn many calories, and balance out our BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) from our daily activities.
If you have been struggling with sleep issues, that alone is enough reason to plan and get a program together to see what can be done. Nothing works correctly while we are not sleeping well.
Sleep problems are correlated with increased reports of chronic pain and inflammation, thyroid dysfunction, low testosterone, imbalances in estrogen to progesterone, insulin resistance, depression and anxiety, weight gain, obesity, and so much more!
Watch for more sleep tips from my book and programs; we all need and deserve to sleep better. Our health depends on it!
OH, and sleep disturbance is defined as waking multiple times, tossing and turning, and taking a long time to fall asleep, while sleep deprivation is defined as getting 4.5 hours of sleep per night or less. FYI…..that should change a lot of people’s perspectives on this.
We can do better, my friends!
PS – If you don’t already, please make a habit of keeping a sleep record of:
– Quality (Rate this on a scale of 1-10)
– Record of disruptions
– Difficulty waking up in the morning
