Women Are Responsible For Keeping Our Society Healthy
Well, not that it’s their responsibility to overview everyone’s health (think… men), I am saying that women are by far the most proactive and action takers in the health and wellness market.
As my group gets close to the 3,000 member mark, I am always curious as to who the people in the group are, who is participating, reading, and interacting with the content, and of course who is applying anything that I promote, if at all.
As of today, the women win by a landslide!
71% of my members are women, and 100% of my top 10 commenters are women. They beat us men hands down and earned 10 out of 10 of the spots.
It is the same thing in private health and medical practice across the industry. Women are the lynchpins to the family’s health dynamic and the key players in the lifestyle reflected by the family and the community at large. Many women are responsible for keeping society healthy.
So first of all, I want to say thank you to all the women who are carrying everyone else in this health environment. If it wasn’t for all of you and the role that you thanklessly play, we would all be much worse off and also miserable.
The argument is often made that the stronger natural nurturing quality women possess is why they take this role upon themselves, but I am not getting distracted by that and I don’t really care why they do it. I am just glad they do and I want to help more of them in the process.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying men are all neglectful and unhealthy, or that they don’t want to invest time or money in their health or the health of their family or community. That’s not my point, even if the shoe does often fit.
I think men, in general, could benefit greatly by following the women’s lead and example in this regard. Men and women operate differently in about every other category, so the fact that we engage and approach health and the health care of our closest people differently is no surprise, and there’s nothing wrong with it either.
Men and women respond to stress distinctly differently, deal with emotions differently, and have different views, goals, and ways in which to achieve them. That is what makes the whole greater than the sum of its parts, and that is how we complement and synergize with each other.
Today I am acknowledging the women, the mothers, the wives, the friends, the business people, the support backbone, the tireless fabric that brings us together and handles the day in and day out of our communal lives.
“Be kind to your mind” ladies, you deserve all the love and support that you give out to others and your efforts and actions do not go unnoticed and are appreciated.
If there is anything I can ever do for you, help you in any way, lift any of the weight you carry, or even just listen during a challenging time, I want you to know I would be honored to do so. Just say the word!
Thank you all again for all that you do!
We can do better!
